We're so cool, it hurts.

I'm still in Lake Tahoe. Just a quick note to say, I went White Water Rafting today. BEST THING EVER! It's such a rush. It's fun, it's exciting and I had an awesome time. And it did not hurt one little bit that the River Guides were attractive young 20-somethings. So yes, I recommend we do it one time. Gina - you'd have to get wet, but I think you'd manage.

It'd be nice if someone other than myself posted, if even to say hi.

So, by the by, I'm in Lake Tahoe now. And will be so until August 2nd or 3rd.
After Tahoe, I'm at camp for two more weeks, and then I have a week until I go to school. Amazing, I know.

I'll post more when I feel in the mood.

This is one of the few times in the last 2 weeks that I've gotten a chance to breathe. Sit and relax, and just breathe. So, I'll take this opportunity to post. My life is still and will for atleast the next two weeks be, completely consumed by camp. But before that, there was Yosemite and Fresno. So, here we go - Katie's past twenty-one days:

My first week of camp was fun. I had second oldest Tenderfoot, going-to-be third graders. They were great kids for the most part and I had a lot of fun. End of story.
Last Saturday, I drove down to Coarsegold with Shara. We got there around 7ish and had dinner at David's with Cody and Brie [and David's family.] We played some Catchphrase and went to bed at around midnight. Pretty uneventful save for a little encounter with a "Scorpion Spider" as Kevin put it. David, Cody, Shara, Brie and I all left for Yosemite - Wawona to be exact, at around 8:30. We arrived at David's grandparent's cabin and dropped off our stuff and headed into the Valley, as it were. Took lots of pictures [Shara and I were SO Ansel Adams], hiked around a bit, had lunch, and then went back to the cabin. We changed into swimsuits and drove the 1.5 minutes to the river. We swam in the ice cold river and played around a bit. It was really refreshing and rejuvinating. All around, really nice and Shara and I want to go back there again. Afterwards, we had dinner at the grandparents and hung out, showered, and then went to bed. Woke up at 8, had pancakes, packed up, and left the cabin. We checked out the historical parts of Wawona and went to Big Trees - the giant Sequoias and the other Tunnel Tree. We, for some ungodly reason, decided to hike up the 2.5 miles to the Tree Museum and the 2.5 miles back, in SANDALS. I got a gnarly blister, but it's gone now. Then we headed back down to Coarsegold, stopping for lunch in Oakhurst. Shara and I hung out at David's for an hour or so and then got on the road back home. It was a really nice weekend. Gorgeous pictures, lots of fun, hilarity between Shara and I. It was a great break.

Wednesday night, Gina, Jo, Deanna, Shara and I had dinner at Fresh Choice. We just sat and talked and talked for hours until they closed. It was fun.
Thursday I went to Fresno until Sunday. Thursday night, my family drove to Coarsegold and had dinner with David's family. It was the first time our parents had met and it was really fun. Everyone liked everyone else and I'm glad about that.

Monday started my second week of camp. I had second youngest Potowatomi - fourth graders. Another great group of kids, but I had craptacular Junior Counselors. I did something every night this past week, only Tuesday being the non-camp event. Monday a bunch of us went to Jason's house and watched Sword in the Stone and played Catchphrase and Taboo. Tuesday, my mom took my sister and 3 cousins and I to Spoon's. Wednesday, camp staff went to go see Pirates of the Carribean - awesome movie. Thursday, I slept over at camp. Friday, hung out at a girl from camp's house and then went out to movies with Jason, Chiwide, and Carlos to go see The League of Extraordinary Gentlmen, quite possibly the shittiest movie ever. It had a lot of potential, but it amounted to very little. I closed my eyes through a bit of it.
Yesterday I passed up on the Warped Tour to go to my family picnic. Last night, Gina and I went to Borders with the sole purpose of me buying Eddie Izzard, but alas, they were sold out, even though last Tuesday it was in the store. We ended up going to Albertson's to say hey to Greg and then set out on a quest for cheese cake. We landed ourselves in Bakers Square in Castro Valley with an enormously attractive waiter. And both of us got the Peanut Butter Cup Pie, not cheese cake. We sat around, talking, and stalling so we could oogle Jason, our waiter until about 12:30.

And today, I washed my car and took my sister and mom to see Pirates of the Carribean. I just made Chocolate Chip [2 with Marshmallow] pancakes. And yea, I have camp tomorrow. So, that's my life. Next weekend, I'm going to Salinas to go to the rodeo and then the 25th of July, I'm going to Tahoe for a week.

So, okay. I'm spent.
