We're so cool, it hurts.

I've been unusually busy lately [midterms, papers, pet stores, Catchphrase, walks with the boys, getting back into photography]. I'll post later this week, hopefully by Wednesday. Sorry for the delay, I'm sure everyone is waiting with bated breath.

AHH THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY! Seriously, this has been a long and arduous week...too many tests and papers and too much catching up. But last weekend was great...THANK YOU to Katie and Gina and company for an awesome Valentine's Day, probably the best one yet. Sure, it's all fine and dandy to be with the one you love, but it's even better to share it with lots of people you love. I had a great time you guys, lots of thanks from both Scott and myself.

Some of the places we went to that day:
- The Mystery Spot (I can't wait until I get my pictures developed, they'll be great!)
- Sabieng Thai Restaurant (I'm glad you guys liked it)
- La Manresa Beach in Aptos (Sorry we didn't get to see the sunset...)
- Pizza My Heart (Yeah Katie for getting a T-Shirt!)
- Pacific Cookie Company (Yum)

To Gina: I hope you and Chris made it to your dinner reservation, and I hope it was fun and romantic and everything you wanted it to be. Did he like the print you got him? I like him; he was shy, but when he wasn't he was really witty and interesting. Scott liked him too, we just felt bad when he wasn't feeling good.

Actually, Scott liked everyone...he told me he had a really good time with all of you and thinks I have cool friends (hear that? you guys are COOL! Oh wait, you already knew that...) He says HI.

To Katie: I hope you and everyone had a good time in Frisco. Thanks again for coming down, I'll have to come visit you sometime, I really want to. It's a lot of fun hanging out with you and your crew. Sorry again about my crappy directions that day.

To Jake: I don't know what you did on Valentine's Day, but I hope it was fun.

Anyhoo, I'm really glad it's the weekend. Had a psych test on Thursday, a paper due today, and now I'm just going to veg out and relax. I'll start working again tomorrow, I think I deserve a break. =)

Have a good weekend everyone!

Yay! Thank you Jake! You're so awesome, and I'm so non-skilled at computers. Love ya man! =)

And Gina, THANK YOU! for the Valentine's Day card, I love it, it's hilarious! Good pick...not too "let's get it on" and not a trace of "praise the lord almighty". Perfect. Very very clever, I loved it. See you tomorrow!

Okey dokey...looks like I'll be in Santa Cruz this weekend! My potential ride to UCSD was leaving today, so I will see you guys on Saturday, yay! I'm really excited! Not that I didn't want to go see Les of course, you know if I had my way I would see both you guys and Les in one weekend.

Hmm I wanted to post a picture up here but I guess I can't (or can't figure out how to...)...look at this, I guess:

That's an early Valentine's day gift to y'all. Happy Valentine's Day. =) See you Saturday!

P.S. I'm really sorry about your grandfather, Jake. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather, Jakarooney.

Hope everyone is having a good week, or trying to at the very least. I fear that I am catching the cold that has been going around. I refuse to succomb to the sickness though, I just refuse. I simply cannot wait for this weekend. I want to be home. I want to see my family and my friends. But before that I have to get through this week, one more exam this week and then I'm [mostly] home free. And, just to join in the talk, I am going to be spending a lot of money this weekend, so none of you are alone in your money situation.

Okay, I'll see you all soon.

Hey Gina...hilarious post...I'm glad you found a card "between let's get it on and Jesus". (!) Anyhoo...in terms of a V-Day gift for the semi-significant other...I don't know if Chris likes food, but I find that it's always something good to lean back on. For example, I had no idea what to get for Scott's birthday (despite the fact that we had been together over a year) so I got him a cheesecake. He was very happy. Okay, so maybe you wouldn't get Chris a cheesecake, maybe just a slice, since he's "semi-significant". Just kidding...does he like chocolate? Maybe you could bake him something? Seriously though, it seems like guys like food...plus, you could help eat it, which is always a plus.

Good luck! =)

Man, I seriously wish I had a job, or that it was easier to find one around here. I've been spending waaaay too much money lately. It's horrible...it's almost like failing on a diet or something. I'm completely against diets (I believe more in "lifestyle changes") but the way I shop it seems like I'll be really good for several weeks, and then KAPOW! I'll spend a lot of money in one or two days. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe we should have a support group...=)

Here's my list of purchases from the last week:

- $24 t-shirt from Urban Outfitters for Leslie's birthday (when I told her there was one down here she specifically asked for a "cool t-shirt", and this one is super-soft vintagey brown with a silk screened silhouette of a dog which says below in french something that translated out to "the more i see the men, the more i like my dog"...I already wrapped it, otherwise I would have put it up here in french...and yes, I had to ask someone to read it for me, which reminds me that i would really like to take french.) moving on....

- $50 black ballet flat-type shoes with a flower on the side from Urban. I have no nice shoes other than my 3 inch prom heels and my knee high hooker boots, so I figured this was a good investment. I loved them...I had to get them.

- a $12 pink and green plaid halter dress and $5 lace tank top from Crossroads

- $25 in miscellaneous valentine's day cards and tidbits from Paper Vision including: a pop up card and Hamtaro stickers for my sister, among other things.

- Not to mention all the times I went out to eat downtown because dinner at the dining hall was going to be crappy.

I'm so disappointed in myself...looking around at my room (and remembering all the stuff I have at home) I know I own too much stuff...I don't need more clothes. I guess it helps that some of the stuff I bought was for other people, but still. My goal was to lessen or stabilize the amount of things I own, but I hate how whenever I go to go buy something for someone else, I see things and end up buying for myself too. I try not to, but I guess subconsciously I see what people around here wear and want to look like them...or at least have nice clothes like them.

Damn myself for being so impressionable and materialistic. Somebody slap some sense into me! I'm so ashamed of myself.

Okay, okay. Now that I've gotten a specific request to post, I guess I had better. It's true. I haven't posted in a while, a long, long while. I apologize and I thank you three for picking up my slack.

A quick post before the song madness: Nothing too much going on. Classes are fun. My billiards class with Todd is cool, save for the fact that the professor is an arrogant hardass and as it turns out, I am horrible at pool.

It's true, I am coming home the weekend of the 13th of February till the 16th. And I'm bringing David, Jason, Todd and Sierra with me. Cody has a theater festival so, regrettably, he won't be able to attend the adventure. The first night, Friday, I'm thinking that it is high time we go to Pasta Pomodoro and Baker's Square. What say you G-Dawg? Saturday and Sunday will be spent in Santa Cruz and San Francisco [not sure what city matches with which day jus tyet.] We're planning on stopping in Santa Clara to pick up Deanna and Ryan and then, with Gina and Chris, go to Santa Cruz [pick up Jo and Scott if Jo doesn't go to San Diego - no pressure] to the Mystery Spot. And then the other day, we're going to San Francisco and doing the whole tour of the city [a la the trip with Gina to the aquarium, except this time we're going to the Conservatory of Flowers and then touring the rest of the city]. The third day will be spent at home in Hayward and then we're heading off to Fresno on Monday afternoon. We haven't worked through all the details, though I think Jason is driving because he has a Suburban that seats nine people. So I'll let you guys know as more plans are made. I'm excited!! I haven't been home since the second week of January.

Some exhilarating news:
I'm selling Girl Scout Cookies. Or, more specifically, I'm selling cookies on behalf of Ellie. If you're interested, email/call me.
Secondly, I don't know if any of you have been watching American Idol, but I'm addicted. And for good reason, a coworker/friend of mine from camp is on the show. Her name is Sara Logan = Chewy at camp. She was the girl who waited in line with her boyfriend Sergey [who sang Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" for his audition - it was all a joke, by the by.] She did really well and is still on the show. Tonight is the night that they cut all the people down to only 32 finalists, so keep your fingers crossed for Sara. If she's famous, then I'll finally get to be able to say "I knew her when.."

Okay, now here's the song name survey:

Aww, thanks for the compliment Jake, I'm quite flattered. =)

Besides that, the band/song answer thingies you guys put up are great!! I got really excited when I saw you guys had posted yours. They're really good.

I hope Katie posts soon...she hasn't done so in a while and I think she would put up an interesting one.

AW MAN, that sucks, I'm sorry Jake. I was going to post too, and ask "Hey, Jake, how was your trip to Arizona?" Damn...

Good to hear you're having a good time with Chris, Gina...he sounds like a good guy. =) Sorry about your classes though...

So nothing happened this week except for doing too much homework and watching a lot of TV...I know, it sounds like that's all I do, besides sleeping and eating.

I was reading my buddy Clint's ujournal...he had this on it, so sad. Poor guy...he's very lonely:

Sad, but clever! I was trying to do it myself with another band, but I was having lots of difficulty. Maybe one of you guys would be more successful with this? I'd be interested to see.

Urgh, I'm torn! So President's Day weekend my cousin Leslie wants me to come visit her at UCSD (she's been bugging me since last year to come), but then there also the possibility that Katie and the boys (and Gina and Chris?) may come to Santa Cruz that weekend to go to the Mystery Spot. I want to do both, dammit! I wish I had my car up here...then I could stay and hang out, then drive myself to UCSD when you guys leave.

Damn, the weekend went by too quickly, and it's hailing outside. I just want to go back to bed...anyone care to join me? Slumber party! Stay dry if it's raining where you guys are too...
