MIA too

What a coincidence, I'll be gone next week too! Heading out with the Moreau kids for cross country camp in Santa Cruz. Have a good week, all, and have fun holding up the fort while we're gone!

Hmmm.....

Is it just me, or do John Kerry and John Edwards remind you of Bert and Ernie?

Kerry and Bert: tall with skinny heads...

Edwards and Ernie: short with round heads....

just a thought =)

Also, just for fun:

Let's Get it On

P.S. OH MY GOD Let's go watch "Harold and Kumar Go to Whitecastle"!!!!!!! Any takers?

Waterworks

MAN!!! Took Geng and her friends to watch "The Notebook" last night! HOLY CRAP I don't think I've ever cried so much in a movie before. I cried more than for "Titanic" and "Schindler's List" combined. I cried through the whole last half of it and cried leaving the theater. It was sort of funny, I went to the bathroom to wash my face off afterwards and you could tell who had been in the movie because we all had red, teary eyes. Even during the movie, sitting behind us was this elderly couple and they were both sobbing together.

I have to say that I loved it, it was so emotional, and it didn't hurt that Ryan Gosling and James Marsden are UBER HOT, crap I would have a hard time choosing too (basic conflict in the movie). I was really skeptical about the whole thing at first, but the movie is SO SWEET...seriously, I've never cried so much in my LIFE. Anyway, if any of you guys are going to go see it, let me know, I want to see it again, partly so I can see Ryan Gosling row a boat in the rain and take his shirt off 3 more times. WHEW!

Also wanted to say thanks for dinner to Gina, Kate, and Dee...it was good to see you all again. All of us are too damn busy =). Good luck at Nordstroms, Gina.

Anyway, back to my usual Macy's schedule tomorrow...I really hope I don't lose my French after those two weeks. So...Bonne journee...Au revoir!

And to end, check out this still from the movie... (the image location is blank, so I couldn't post it up)

DAAAAMN.

I lack the necessary creativity.

Not alone anymore are ya, Gina? No, now Random-osity is so flooded with posts that yours sank to the bottom of the pile. Too bad.

So this is Summer, right? Because I am finding myself confused what with all the crap I, and, as previously mentioned, everyone else, is up to. Isn't summer supposed to be the time for relaxation and rejuvination? I am supposed to be on vacation, dammit, soaking up the rays and letting the good vibes ease my mind.
Instead, I am running around constantly. Going from one place to another with some agenda. Some times, like in the case of my visit to Fresno this past weekend, the running around is a good thing. Other times, like when I am carting my sister everywhere or having to commute to south Fremont during rush hour, it's a very horrible thing.

To update, the preschool is nice. I like it a lot. The kids are great, very cute, and, for the most part well behaved. There are typically around twelve kids, ranging in age from 2 to 4. During the summer, as opposed to during the regular school year, the preschool is more like glorified daycare then it is a learning environment. Even so, it's nice to be in a classroom, because I haven't been in a long time. The owner of the preschool, Suzette is a great boss so far. She's flexible with my hours and lets me change things around when necessary. It doesn't hurt that I'm making money and playing with kids all day.
There was a bit of chaos last Friday. I had planned on leaving the preschool early, around 11:30 - instead of the regular 1:00pm - in order to beat the traffic to Fresno. Well, around 11:20, one of the girls, Jordan, decided to take a dive off of the teetor-totter. Her nose started to bleed really badly, so I picked her up and carried her to the bathroom, ready to use all that First Aid training. Ten minutes later and she had stopped crying and stopped bleeding. She did manage to bleed all over my shirt, though, which I had to throw away because nothing gets out blood. All in a days work.

This weekend was great fun. I went down to Fresno Friday afternoon. First had to go to campus to take care of a bunch of little tasks, then met up with David and Jason. We hung out, going to random stores to waste time before having dinner. It was nice to catch up and talk to them. Friday night, I stayed at David's house.
Hung out Saturday until my family arrived in Fresno. Then picked up my cousin Nathan and met up with David, Sierra, & Todd to go see Spiderman 2 [a little over the top for me - I acknowledge that it was supposed to be over the top, but still.] Then off to dinner [2nd time at Macaroni Grill that week] and hanging out with the family.
My family left Sunday afternoon, but I had Monday off, so I stayed at Todd's house in Fresno. David came down and we blew stuff up, for 4th of July. Apparently, in Todd's family, it's tradition to build structures out of popsicle sticks and then attach firecrackers to it and basically, make a bonfire. Last year, Todd and his brother built the Eiffel Tower [before setting on fire, they added a few things to make it a windmill, so as not to seem to be making a political statement.] This year, we made a three story shack and loaded it up with $20 worth of flammables. Good times.

So, yea..preschool and trips. Add in random outings and errands and a sick addiction for a Bravo reality series [Blow Out! = Tuesdays @ 9pm, you must watch it] and you basically have a good idea of what I have been up to. One little tidbit, I bought a rug. A few notes about the rug search: $750 is an INSANE price for an area rug, even if Todd Oldham designed it and it's custom made. Secondly, I never knew Gina's car could fit a rug in the backseat until last Wednesday.

I have been hanging out at camp recently, if only for the reason of picking up/dropping off Ellie. It's been nice to see all the people I used to work with. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss seeing them everday and all the fun that went with camp. But I am glad to have a wee bit more free time. And I can still hang out without working there. Apparently, a lot of people weren't able to work this summer because of the mandatory eight week committment, so there's talk that the stipulation may be abolished next summer. I don't know if that will change my mind about working there again.

This weekend sees me going to a Family Picnic - woohoo. Maybe, just maybe, I'll finish unpacking my stuff from school and cleaning out my room. I have grand plans for revamping, but so far, there's little actually complete.

Okay, that was good right? A little long perhaps, boring through the middle, but oh well. When I first sat down to type, I had all this little ideas and things I wanted to mention, but as soon as I started the post, all those things just vanished from my mind. So this is what I'm left with.

Remember to check out the pictures = great fun!!

Love, KT

Quickie

I'm only posting so that Gina doesn't feel like she's the only one here =)(Congratulations on the new job, by the way! It sounds so sad to hear that you'll be "hanging up the green apron", but then I remember that it's been four years...)

Sorry kids, I've been around, but between 6 hours of summer school a day, homework, xc fun runs, eating, and sleeping, there aren't enough hours in the day for me to have down time. I should be doing homework right now, but I haven't been online in over a week, so I figured I should check things out. I'll definitely have more free time as soon as this class is over this Friday.

Anyway, hope all is well, and hope that everyone had a good 4th of July! I had to do a shift at Macys, but it's okay, I really needed the money. Have a good week, okay?

Merely a placeholder.

This will soon be one of my actual posts. Until then, it's a place holder, just in case Gina wants to post, but is being timid about it because she doesn't want to double post. Or something.

Check back soon!

EDITED: Okay, so if I were to post here, it would just sit in between posts that have been here for a day, so it would never get read. Therefore, instead, I succumbed and made a new post. One that, in fact, you almost surely read before you read this. Did I call it or did I call it?
